or at least less radical. There was a time in the Reformation when laterborn children were 17 times as likely to be convicted of heresy as firstborns.

So I'm surprised at the large number of firstborns here. In fact, maybe I'll start another poll asking for both birth order and parents' political affiliation.

And I'm way out in the middle. The two oldest are about a year and a half apart in age, then there's three years, and then me. After that, another three and a half years, and the younger two are about a year and a half apart.

We are 42, 41, 38, 34, and 33.
