Festive cheer and goodwill was in short supply in Newtown when people dressed as Santa were involved in a mass street brawl, police have revealed.
Officers used CS spray and drew their batons to break up the trouble involving up to 30 people, following Newtown's annual Santa run.

It happened just hours after 4,000 runners donned their Father Christmas suits to raise thousands for charity.

Montgomeryshire AM Mick Bates, who took part in the run, denied claims that it was turning into a beer festival.

"There's no way people can link the Santa run to the drunkenness and violence that ensued after the race," he said.

9. A friend of mine had a Santa in an electric chair toy

it had a 9 volt battery under the seat with a coil and it would knock your shirt in the dirt if you picked it up. Best part was - DC current - you couldn't let go of it. Santa is a good target. hahaha, thanks for the story!
