My cat loves me...
I mean REALLY loves me. She's so strange.

She has to be with me constantly. If I'm at the computer she's in my lap trying to push my hands off the keyboard until I stop what I'm doing and start rubbing her. Then she just lays there and purrs contentedly. If I pick her up and move her she's back on my lap right away. If I go sit on the couch she's either going to be behind me rubbing on my head or laying on my shoulder. She's forever kissing me.

But the weirdest thing...if I'm in the bath and I lay back she comes in and jumps up on my chest and lays there (until she moves her tail and it touches the water...then she's out like a shot).

What kind of strange quirks does your family friend have?

2. Too Many To Fully Catalog
The kittens (Stewart, Fannie and Amelia) like to take all the wash cloths out of the bathroom and bring them into the kitchen. Stewart likes to collect all my hair scruchies and bring them into the bathroom; he also likes to throw things into the toilet and then fish them out (yes, it's always very clean). He also likes to take naps on the toilet seat. Fannie will carry my wristwatch around forever if I leave it somewhere she can get to.

Thomas likes to get in the tub as soon as I'm done with a shower so he can get his fur damp.

Alice carries around a make-up brush. If I take it from her, she'll spend hours extracting it from where ever I put it. I finally gave up and just let her have it.

Tessa sometimes forgets where she has left me, and meows (bellows, really; she's Siamese) until I say her name. When I say, "Hi, Tess!' she always answers, "Whurf!"

4. lol...
I've had two siamese mixes. One's gone, one's my new kitten. They are SO vocal - not just themselves, but they NEED to hear your voice, too.

My new boy LOVES to suck my earlobe. He's about 5 months old now and still approaches me with a look in his eye - I know he means business. He'll jump up on the back of the couch and go to town on my earlobe. He prefers the left. Dunno why.

He also sucks my bf's earlobes, but only when I'm not around. He really really really likes mine.

3. awww....
sounds like you got a sweetie. Good for you!

I have three of 'em. They're all affectionate - but yours sounds exceptional. And she's really pretty!

One of the saddest things I ever heard was at the pound once.... they said black cats are rarely adopted. People just don't take a shine to them, as it were. I'm glad you got a nice one.

That's Stewart, King of the Toilet, and he's MINE! all MINE!

(Oh, he also likes to bring all my slippers into the kitchen, though now some are starting to show up in the bathroom, too)

10. Stewart NEEDS to be saved from you!
"KIND" of the toilet...if you're using that poor, sweet kitty as 'kind of the toilet' he NEEDS to be rescued.

12. Alert has been hit...
Guess you and Silk (who CLAIMS his kitty was prettier than mine) will have to find a new place to haunt. <smooch>

Regardless...Stewart (and the rest of your kitties) are beautiful.

9. I will admit...
Star was NOT my first choice. She was an 'older' cat even though she was only about a year. We wanted a kitten but they were all gone. I saw Star and went in to play for a bit with her (I like to try to talk to everyone at the pound just to let them know I care) when this freaky guy came over and started telling the adoption counselor he wanted that cat because his cat ran away and he wanted to get another one and he wanted that cat because...it was just so strange. The counselor told him that I was with that cat at the moment and I looked at Star who curled on my lap and said, "Paul, I want to take her home with me."

And that's how it goes. You meet. You fall in love. You live happily ever after.

14. That's Why She Loves You So Much
You not only saved her life, you saved her from being adopted by a nutcase. They can be pains in the ass, but they do know when they've been saved and they are grateful. They just try to hide it.
