Poll question: Do you like or loathe lumps in hot cereal?

I hate them in oatmeal, but love them in cream of wheat and malt-o-meal.

1. I hate hot cereal period.

I know I should like it. It is healthy and cheap - the perfect food but it must be the texture (oatmeal in particular) or something. I just literally gag every time I try.

2. I am with you 100%.

Couldn't stand it as a kid. Refuse to eat it now.

My lovely wife chides me about this regularly, but I don't care. Healthy, shmealthy. It tastes like paste.

The only one I could ever stand was Ralston, and it's not made anymore.

I don't even put milk in my cold cereal 'cause I can't stand mushy cereal. It has to CRUNCH, dammit! :)

The only way I've ever eaten oatmeal since that first try back 30 something years ago is in apple crisp or something similar.

A lump of Cream of Wheat in my Cream of Wheat = acceptable.

A lump of coal in my oatmeal = :wtf:

7. doesn't matter to me....

I usually eat oatmeal, but I have been known to have some chocolate malt o meal when I can find it......it is bad about lumping up.....I just fish them out usually.

When I was young I used to think the little hard things in the oatmeal were toenails...lol

I hate lumps in mashed potatos, can't stand celery in tuna fish or in stuffing mix, and generally picky about food consistency.

I can't really say I've ever gotten lumps in my hot cereal; I like hot cereal, however, especially Cream of Wheat!
