This sucks.. i'm assuming that drinking hot tea and not talking is about all you can do... i'm on day 2 after working 6 hours yesterday and whispering to everyone.

but i've had it a few times in my life. Resting your voice is the best thing for it and staying on your meds. I used to get laryngitis and strep throat all the time when I was little.

4. Actually, whispering is worse for your vocal cords |

than talking. It puts far more strain on them. Try not to talk at all, you should be better in a day or so.

5. I used to get it all the time...... |

sucks when your a police dispatcher (in my younger yrs 18-21) I used crushed asprin and warm water garrgle. I did the whiskey thing one time and ended up buzzed at work, everyone laughed when I fell down. Also try warm salted water, both that and the asprin always worked for me. Followup with tea with honey.
and don't call me in the morning I will be sleeping.......
