I once chimed in on a creation/evolution debate. It got pretty heated, so finally I said, "Has it ever occured to folks that these aren't opposing theories, just two different perspectives of the same event? Religion asks who did it, and science asks how it was done. So stop putting on your cars those little footed Darwin fish or the "truth" fish swallowing Darwin--each there to refute the other. Instead, put them on together, kissing."

The room went silent, then someone said, "Hey, that's a good idea for a t-shirt design!"

So, I made some up and handed them out. That was almost three years ago, and I still get people asking me for one of those shirts.

There was a point to this story, but now that I've typed it, I forget what it was. Sorry for the intrusion. Go on with your lives . . .
