Did you ever commit yourself to doing something then find out more about the event and want to kick yourself?

I've got a date tonight with a Lady I met while servicing her computer...mainly because she asked me, two weeks ago, to go with her to her company Christmas Party.
Well, I talked to her today on the phone and find out that she's a Republican and (from what she says) almost everybody at the party will be Repug.

I'm going to fulfill my obligation and keep my mouth shut.....
No...("What?? you fool, Bush is a fucking idiot!")
