Get this:
I just called a famous restaurant in Hollywood to book
a reservation for dinner tomorrow night.
You see it is our daughter's eighteenth birthday and
we wanted to do something special.
So I called to reserve a table and this woman tells me
she had a 15 year old son; well, one thing leads
to another as we talk mom talk, and the subect of the
draft comes up...I ask her, hey, do you know about the
Democratic Underground? She replies, YES! I do!
My girlfriend just turned me on to it and I just joined!
Is that GREAT, or what?
So DU is like this secret society, and we are going to
get a bitchin' table for dinner!
Yippeeee!
So, which one of you DUers has the friend that
works in reservations at the Japanese place on the
top of the hill in Hollywood?

I had a Wurlitzer spinet as a kid (but I always played on my father's Steinway baby grand). Toted my spinet around with me through college and much of my adult life. Sold it with my house in upstate NY when I moved down here almost 4 years ago :cry:

I met a DUer and we PMed about a different subject a couple times...one thing lead to another and it turns out she lives on the Island I did my journalism internship on and remembers me.
