Is it REALLY XMAS?

This Friday is secret Santa at work or I would have never gone to the stores. It is Xmas??? I went downtown to pick up a dvd of ''pretty woman' which is what the gal at work wanted. I was in Virgin Records for 10 minutes and no one asked me if I needed help. Finally I asked the 2 young kids behind the counter if someone could help me. They were the ONLY ones at the store. No one was scheduled to be on the sales floor!( They didn't have the DVD).
Took the bus to Kmart that was having a 50% off sale (on 12/11??) and there was no mdse at Kmart, no customers, couldn't find anything, the cola slurpee machine wasn't even working!
took a cab to Target. No different. bought some food for the house. Found nothing I wanted,no customers. I waited in line for ONE person in front of me in both stores to check out.
Has the ACLU been at it again. There in NO holiday music any place and NO ONE has wished me a happy holiday???
Spent $25 on cabs and I would have had more fun if I shopped on the interent.

what you described sounds like an episode of twilight zone! this was today? in america?
i have been hiding out saturdays to avoid all the shopping because i am broke.... maybe everybody else is, too!

2. My twilight zone........

is in Denver,CO.I was walking around each store shaking my head not believing this is Xmas time? I'm a BuJEW and I like the holiday music. Is it now not PC to wish someone a happy holiday...The guy at Mervyns(forgot I was there also) and bought MYSELF some earings and he WISHED ME A NICE WEEK END??:shrug:
