I got a fire going, poured myself a glass of wine, and sat down with my laptop to DU. Now the fire and the wine are downstairs, and I am up here on my PC.
What the hell?!

1. Did you check your network connections? |
|
Right-click the little computer icon on the lower right and see if you can see your network. You may have to reboot the modem.

2. Erm. Ok. Will reboot modem. |
|
I'm getting a really really weak signal - maybe rebooting will help?

3. Reboot wireless modem and Dsl/Cable Modem |
|
then restart your computer.
Can you move your wireless access point closer to where you're sitting? If you're signal's low you may be too far away from the wireless access point.

5. If It's a Linksys WRT54G(S) or clone, You Can Crank Up the Power |
|
The WRT54G and WRT54GS can be run at considerably higher than the default power level by downloading different software.
Some non-Linksys wireless routers use the same hardware and can also do this.
