Judging Amy fans: Will Gillian die in tonight's season premiere?
I'm curious as to what you think will happen in the premiere episode tonight. Personally, I don't think she dies, but you never know. That shell-shocked look of total disbelief and horror on Peter's face at the end of last season's episode makes me think she might, indeed, have died.

Then again, you know how they love to play with these kinds of things, then nothing major happens. I hope she doesn't die, but we've got a few more hours to wait! I know, I know, I need to get a life!

1. Oh, I hope not
But now you've got me thinking about that again. I love that show and can't wait for tonight's season premiere.

2. TV Guide says...
(I know, I'm considering the lame source)

That Gillian will be back this season, so let's hope she didn't die. Sometimes that show is so sad, but I love it!

3. I thought she was a goner
but the TV Guide post has me wondering.

Maybe he was shellshocked because the baby turns out just fine and Gilian was right after all.

I figured the baby would be fine because the star who plays Amy (can't remember her name) also produces the show and in real life she is an ardent pro lifer.

My bet is that Gillian will hang on for a few episodes - near death - become just alert enough to joyously see her healthy baby and then croak.

Despite the fact that it can sometimes be sappy, I never miss the show and was thrilled to see Tyne Daly win an Emmy.

4. Yeah, I was thrilled for Tyne Daly too
I think her character is the best part of the show, although I love all of them, really.

Some people have floated the idea that Gillian will be in a coma. (?)

I have had a lot of people tell me it's sappy, but I've been reduced to tears on numerous occasions. I also love it when people tell me that it's "liberal." That just cracks me up. Yeah, they're concerned with the health, welfare and well-being of children. Ain't that just terrible?! ;-)

5. Tyne Daly is a national treasure
I wish I had said that to her when I had a chance to tell her how much her work has meant to me, instead of saying I'd seen everything she's been in including, Angel Unchained, a 1969 B biker movie, causing her to spit on her fingers and walk away in disgust.

6. Oh, but don't you know that
being "concerned" about children and all that other socialist crap is just a front for being a communist?? What kind of 'Murikan are you, anyway?

Sarcasm off!

7. You may be right about her hanging around for
a few episodes, near death, because in the previews I've seen, one of the scenes has Peter asking "Will she ever wake up?" Of course, you know how they love to play around with things like that, but, really, what else could he be referring to?
