When people say "brown", I think of gravy, iced dea, diarrhea, feces in general, even the vocational school I went to in the early 90s.

But nothing generally pleasant can be drawn to "brown"!

2. I think they are trying to put brown . ..
outside the box of normal thinking!?!

Anyway, all power to them. It is a recognizable trademark. We Democrats support good company policy (as well as union employees) and their website tracking is tops.

5. Union employees, yes
Good company policy? Only when it benefits the employees - which in turn benefits society as a whole. Without the working class, our society is zilch. Our corporate buddies need to remember that rather than to exploit.

11. Yep...UPS
"Brown" uniformed people....

My city is a major UPS hub and I have to say that they've been a good employer, recruit from the Colleges and Universities here and match time worked with tuition contributed directly to the student's account.

It's true that the company is seasonal and shaves costs by hiring part-time workers, but I have yet to see anyone that has worked there complain unless they screwed up.

I also have more in common with the working guys than the Exec's paid not to accept responsibility for damage.

3. When people say "brown"
I think of Frank Zappa's 'Brown Shoes Don't Make It.' And, also from Zappa, 'brown lipstick.' But then, that's just me -- and I can't even blame it on too many drugs.

6. Or perhaps the bit from '"Groove Tube"...
what was it, an educational film about the compound "Brown 35"?

4. they are sick of being confused with usps
You're ahead of Jane magazine, who criticized the "brown" campaign for reminding them of a home delivery source for heroin.

Seriously, they are tired of being confused with United States Postal Service...as if! With the Postal Service, I get mail 6 days a week including Saturday and they actually put it in my mail box instead of giving it to strangers 4 blocks away....UPS and I have major, major issues I'm afraid.

7. Or they just beep the horn at you
to come out and get your package.

I almost worked for UPS, but it was an hour away and involved toll roads which made it worthless for a part time job.

9. It's corporate America's way of preparing
unsuspecting Americans for the REAL brown shirts...people will just assume that they are the kindly UPS man coming to deliver a much anticipated package...
