I will take Bush to a special Department of Peace re-education center where he will be forced to eat Vegan food at all times and learn to appreciate non-violence or suffer the consequences.

I went there during my campaign for President to receive an award honoring my work toward peace. I know you're thinking that I shouldn't have gone because they can't vote in the US election, but I know what I'm doing.

he's great. He probably fits the common views in Europe much better than in the US. The US is too conservative for Kucinich right now, but he's moving us in the right direction.

He strikes me as a very moral, good man, but I don't think he'd be a good president. He seems to think all people are as reasonable and
well-intentioned as he is, and that's clearly not true. Al Quaeda can't be reasoned with, those clearly we need to make changes in American policy. And the idea that all trade agreements could be canceled upon his assuming power is disastrous. Can you imagine the tailspin the economy would go into?

22. You may have a point but

he's not a Jimmy Carter type that believes all people are good deep down inside. He can be very suspicious and untrusting of others. Although the fact that he went through two campaign managers and neither of them had ever worked on a campaign before may say something about his administrative decision making style.

You also have to give 6 months notice before canceling the trade agreements. The idea was to make new bilateral agreements to replace them. I sometimes wondered if he would have really done that or if this was a position he took knowing that he would probably never get into office anyway.

--it's just that an American boot in the face should never be the first option. I can't imagine him going on vacation for a month after the 'bin Laden determined to attack' memo. What is definitely not practical is to keep ignoring the most basic strategic fact of teh 21st century, namely that domination is extremely expensive, and Fucking Shit Up is very cheap.

The economy worked just fine before NAFTA and WTO. No reason why trade agreements can't be negotiate as bilateral arrangements. The economy is already in a tailspin due to outsourcing.

But I always preferred Dean. My views of Kucinich were formed watching the many many Democratic debates. He entered the race after I had already decided to back Dean, and I never saw a reason to support Kucinich instead.
Radical Activist may be right about his position on trade agreements. He must have known it wouldn't have been possible to immediately and unilaterally abrogate them.

25. For me, it's not his trade position but

his Middle East policy. Any action taken to correct the current trade agreements would create economic fluctuations as the market sought out honest competition for the first time. And, that's not even taking into account the alienation of a global economy used to them or the currency markets.

26. I don't reject the idea as an overall strategy

but the notion that trade agreements could be abolished full scale immediately upon his entering the White House would certainly create chaos. The long term strategy of negotiating trade agreements that place an emphasis on labor standards, environmental conditions, and human rights is an excellent one.
I don't recall his position on the middle east. What was your objection?

36. Because I'm not a moron

I lost re-election as mayor of Cleveland years ago because I stood up to the power companies that wanted to privatize Cleveland's utilities. I learned that doing the right thing is often a political advantage in the long run, even if it hurts you in the short run. I would rather be right and unelected than win office without principle.

I was proud to lead many other Democrats in Congress who voted against the IWR. I also believe strongly that we need to break up the corporate media monopolies. We will never have fair elections and honest government when a handful of corporations are controlling what we see and hear everyday. That's why I brought up that issue during the first televised Democratic primary debate. For some strange reason, I didn't get a lot of coverage in the corporate media after that.

Also, remember to eat your spinach. It rhymes with Kucinich.
