I'm getting Dish Network. |

By Thursday night I'll be able to watch The Daily Show. And Food Network. Worth every nickel just for that.

1. If you have a friend with Dish... or another DUer |

give them credit for the referal (one of them must have recommended it to you). I think there is a program that will save them $5/month for a year and give them a few other benefits.

I have Time Warner Cable.....I forget that folks in the outer belt are marginalized with media and program options.
Enjoy!

City owned. Two years ago they dropped Comedy Central, Sci Fi Channel, and The History Channel so we could get three more Jesus channels. I'm cuttin' the cable, baybee!

10. Oh you poor soul....... |
|
My heart goes out to you, as I could not, would not live with such community control. That said, I should ask myself why and the heck am I still in Ohio? Hah Hah Hah......
It must be hope.
I'm so glad you are back among the living.:toast:

3. Here's hoping it never rains at your place |
|
I really liked our dish -- except when it rained. We'd lose reception every stinking time. LOL!
Here's hoping you have better luck than we did.

6. Only lose to rain a couple times a year |

It usually takes severe lightning right overhead to cause a loss in our reception.
And the Sirius radio stations they throw in - unfortunately only the music, not the talk - are damn good.

Suggestion from a fellow DUer. Plus the new systems aren't nearly so weather affected.

9. I've never had that problem, even in hunking downpours |
|
but you do have to keep the snow off of the dish or you'll only get half of the channels!

8. I love Dish- but some shows air at different times |
|
I'm on the west coast and was all ready to watch Daily Show at 11 but it had already aired at 8 PM.
some of the channels air things on east coast time all over the country.
You may have already known this but I didn't.
