My Grams was a "closet smoker." Unexpected visits found her with wisps of acrid smoke sans cigarette. We did find Pall Malls so we knew where there was smoke there was a smoking Gram ma. I loved her a lot.

8. They are very popular in former East Germany

Don't know why, but they got a big market share after the reunification. They are gaining popularity in the western part, too.

To me, they stink even worse than other cigs. Had a boss who chain smoked them, except when he got Kreteks (clove cigarettes from Indonesia).
