It's like some enormous dung beetle from hell rolled up everything evil and conservative in the world and plopped it down in the middle of some cow pastures. And then they threw in some Dutch ethnicity for the fuck of it. The Dutch would be ashamed if they saw the place.

in the late 70s my then SO and I bought a house in Olympia and found a sepiatone print of the 'Lynden Plant' of Lynden WA. Don't know what kind of a plant it was, cows? chickens? :shrug: Still got the picture; ditched the BF.

4. Tell me about it. I used to live in Ferndale, dated a guy from Lynden

so knew all the bizarreness there, but it is indecribable how the actual people are. weird, zombie-like creatures, guess that's how the church wants them. Maybe that's why there's a cemetary at the entrance to the town, we used to joke, "once you enter, you can never leave! baahaahaahaha!" 'course we came and went b/c we're immoral mortals.

The only way to deal with that place was to be heavily drugged, and since everyone seemed lobotomized it's easy to fade into the background. unless you stare at people for too long.
