Well! 27" Cyclo-cross tyres! It's an Omen...
I'm cobbling up a bike to ride this winter when mag trainers and rollers bore me to tears. Big lights, lower seat, rat-trap pedals (I'm not riding slick roads in SPD's!) and #1 item on the wish list was knoby tyres in 27"

Local Bike Shop had 3 of them on a peg when I went in to get a new 26" for the Pizza King Express....

Cool!

2. so are you getting better
at getting in and out of the SPDs?

I was going to ask about the bent weld (?) thing you mentioned the other day when you bought garage sale bikes, but yoy said don't, so I didn't.

Can I ask now?

5. Yes I am....Thanks!
Must be getting the rough edges worn off, because not only do they click in easier, but they "pop out",now, too...Need to tighten 'em. They released OK when I went down Monday...

I have 2 bikes for the "bent project". One is going to become a short-wheelbase bent and the other will become a long one. need to gather a few more bikes and get some "honey-Do's" done for my girlfriend before i start cuttin' and brazin'...

Oh, the cut from my first "ride" with the pedals is healing nicely....:-)

4. SPDs are pedals
that you click into with a cleat on the bottom of your riding shoes.

I ride both, flats on my freeride bike and spds on my trail bike.
