DALEVILLE, Ind. - Game after game, the girls on the Daleville High School basketball team have walked off the court without a victory.
It's been that way since January 1999, earning the Broncos the state's longest losing streak, at 107 games.
But behind the numbers are players and a coach confident the tide is turning.
"I love basketball," said Tiffany Miller, the only third-year player on the team. "To us, it's just trying to get out there and win."
That outcome seemed an impossibility two years ago, when the Broncos opened with losses of 101-9 to Lapel and 88-10 to Knightstown. The closest they came to an opponent that year was in a 47-17 loss to Hagerstown, and for the season they scored an average of 15 points a game and lost by an average margin of 52.
