1. Eat some hot peppers if you have them

Jalapenos or pepperocinis work beautifully. Hot salsa is fine also, or even some Tabasco. Hopefully there's something along those lines in your kitchen. I guarantee you'll have totally clear sinuses for an hour or two afterwards, at least.

I think it's the capsecum that does it. When I get stuffed I eat a few tablespoons of hot chopped red peppers and breath my way to happiness for a couple of hours afterwords.

Nice to know I'm not the only one that does this. My wife, however, thinks I'm insane.

2. If you have any Vicks or Mentholatum etc

put some in a teaspoon and hold it over a flame till it melts, then hold one nostril closed and snort the fumes with the other nostril, then repeat on the other side.

4. Okay, take a washcloth

and get it really, really, as-hot-as-you-can-stand-it, wet. Lay down, but with pillows supporting your head so it's higher than your torso, and put the washcloth across your face/nose. Rellllllaaaaxxxxx, Enjjjjjjjjjoy. Blow your nose from here to Kingdom Come as need be.

Also, switch to menthol cigs.

always does it for me. I have allergies, though, and with the changing seasons, I'm pretty clogged. Zyrtec and Nasonex and I'm still all stuffy.

13. I boil halved lemons in water...

and hold my head above the pot with a towel covering my head. It cleanses the nostrils and sinuses. You can use salt instead of lemons if you have no lemons. Sounds silly but works on me.

find a supermarket that's open all night . . . they usually have most anything you can get in a pharmacy other than prescriptions . . . or . . .

get some Altoids and chew a couple of them . . . clear you right up . . . :)

16. The hot shower works for me.

If you have sinus problems, the best thing that ever worked for me was a yoga class. It just drained and didn't come back!:-)
