Does the thought just make you shiver? Do you see the number going up and wonder "Is this the one that's going to make it?"
Or do you just say, "Eh, whatever."?

1. It depends. If half of them say, |
|

3. One of my first few days here I posted something that got over 150 replies |
|
I don't think I had one that high since. I was like wow, but now if I did it again I would be like, eh, whatever.

4. You pay attention to your threads that long? |
|
I can't stand more than a half hour in a thread.

10. The absolutely longest thread |
|
or at least a serious contender was started by Bushknew on October 9 last year in the 9:11 forum. It was called "Post your Pentagon Questions Here!" It is STILL going - strong. Each part contains about a hundred posts. It went into Part 9 on DU One and showed back up on DU2 as "The Pentagon Thread." which is now entering Part 5. there are a few other threads over there that have displayed long-term staying power but I think this is the longest thread ever, on DU.

8. I asked for some talking points once on progressive taxation |
|
to show my wife, who thinks progresive taxation is unfair to the rich. I had over 100 replies in just a couple of hours! Very gratifying! Thanks, DU!

I've only ever had 100+ replies on one thread (about obesity) and it is rare for any of my threads to get anywhere near that. Perhaps I should start doing threads entitled Howard Dean smells of poo or something just to get some sort of attention. :eyes:
