1. I'm not sure what we're having

Spaghetti and meatballs sounds good. I got some Italian sausage today with the thought of spaghetti and sausage and perhaps that will be the day we have it.

It won't be turkey or ham, though. We didn't buy either.

Grumbly is chicken pieces dipped in an egg, water, and garlic powder mixture; rolled in pulverized Ritz Cracker crumbs; topped with pats of butter; and baked at 375° for 35 minutes.

7. No sit down dinner this year

This year Im not gonna make the traditional sit down din din. Its just gonna be ham and cheese sandwiches, baked beans, salads, veggie trays, meat trays, and cheese trays. They can eat when they are hungry. And if I can lol Im gonna find a way to stay in my Jammies all day LOL, that will be my gift to myself.

14. I love spaghetti and meatballs.

We had "early Christmas" with my teenager last Thursday night (she left for MN on Friday and will be there until New Year's Eve). She requested - and got - spaghetti and meatballs for supper.

I like making the traditional meal on Christmas Eve, though. It helps me feel not so far away from my family, knowing they are eating the same meal: Ham, my mother's wonderful meatballs, twice baked potatoes, carrots, scalloped corn, and lefse. And lots of cookies and goodies.

My in-laws will be here this year, so for Christmas Day I bought a beef roast. We have no "traditional" Christmas Day meal, so I'm not sure what I'll make for sides. I'd like to try something new for side dishes and dessert.

Besides our tradition is that once a year, and only once a year, I fix bacon, eggs, and cinnamon rolls for a Christmas breakfast for my family...

Usually it's prime rib, but this year things are different.

On edit: I've heard that lasagne and/or spaghetti is the traditional Italian course or appetizer for the holidays. Always Yummy.
