I happen to be a terrible one. I think I've given all of $50 in the 10 years since I got my degree. I never go to reunions. Never go to meetings of the alumni club in the city. And come to think of it, I haven't been getting the Alumnus magazine for a couple of years now.
My lack of loyalty to my alma mater was bred in my undergrad years there when I felt mostly alone. I guess it's not surprising how little I care about the place now.
How about you?

mail the check in too late and they have to call to remind me. Oops.

3. I dislike my alma mater for the most part. |

I HAVE debated going to the local events they host every year for alumni to schmooze with the prospective freshmen from the area, to warn them off of the school. Nasty-ass money pit with very little to recommend it over any of the cromulent state schools.

I gave them a lot of money when I was going there (it wasn't really worth it).

6. I figure they have all my money anyway. |

I'm angry because they refused to give me a scholarship even though I graduated #1 in my class in high school, then in college. I figure I gave them plenty already.
How's that for a bad alumnus? :)

7. I've been called for money ... but haven't given |
|
I'm still a student at my school, only I'm a grad student now. I'm still giving them money through tuition, so I figure I'm excused from giving them donations at this time!
