1. There were about 8000+ when I came on not so long ago.
I really have gotten the impression that, while we started out behind the wingnuts on internet activity back around the 2000 election debacle, we have pulled ahead of them. Polls don't get freeped nearly so often as they get DUed.

One of the things that is encouraging to me now, besides the polling data that is, is that we have the capacity to respond to the lies, the guts to do it, the troops to do it. The wingers can say what they want, but now they'll get a response.

2. Real numbers:
we're currently just shy of 26,000 registered users that haven't been banned. That leaves something like 6,000 banned registered users.
