2. I've had it in my head all day . . .

I heard the song that Tupac did that sampled it on the way to work today (Keep Ya Head Up), and ever since, the original has been running through my head.

I remember not having heard it for years, and then in the early 90's, a Spike Lee movie called Crooklyn had it in the soundtrack, and it's been in my music collection ever since :) (oddly never bought that soundtrack, just got the song on various mix tapes and MP3's over the years).

6. Hey, I caught the scene in Boyz in the Hood while flipping channels

last night. Trey and his Pop are driving in the VW Bug, coming back from fishing, and that song comes on the car radio. Pop (played by Larry Fishburne, or was he Laurence by then?) says "I love this song" and starts humming along.
