A Monroe woman accused of stabbing her 15-year-old brother and 12-year-old son following an argument over pork chops is being held at the Ouachita Correctional Center. Bond is in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
Ouachita Parish sheriff deputies arrested Tammie Josette Peter, 31, 140 Preston Loop, Monroe, on allegations of aggravated battery and aggravated second-degree battery at 2:52 a.m. Monday.
Peter became involved in a verbal altercation after returning home with her boyfriend on Sunday and discovering that her 15-year-old brother, who lives with her, had cooked two pork chops for himself and no one else, according to a report from deputies.
Peter allegedly took one of the pork chops and threw it at her brother, causing the altercation to turn physical. She allegedly picked up a knife and began to move it up and down while arguing with her brother, according to records.
The report states Peter's boyfriend and her son pinned her arms against the wall. Her boyfriend took the knife and told the 15-year-old to leave.
A few minutes later the altercation began again, and Peter retrieved another knife from the kitchen.
