1. Name one holiday TV special that you just can't @#$! stand.

2. Of the holiday songs you have been subjected to this season, which
comes closest to making you want to strangle people?

3. Many municipalities believe that the way to make it OK for them to
put up a Nativity scene on the town square with public money is to
set up a menorah somewhere nearby. Are they right? Discuss.*

4. Have you ever intentionally or accidentally disrupted someone
else's holiday festivities? Discuss.

5. What's the scariest holiday decoration you've seen so far this
year?

6. Are you currently fighting/do you expect to fight with your family
this holiday season? Over what?

1. Name one holiday TV special that warms your heart and/or makes you
cry.

2. What's your favorite piece of holiday music?

the holidays?

1. Here's my two-cents worth on a couple of favorites.

Favorite holiday-themed movie is still Miracle on 34th St, the original version. (Can't stand the remakes)

Favorite holiday song has to be "Blue Christmas" as sung by "Porky-Pig." Hadn't heard it for a few years until last week; nearly ran off the road laughing so hard! Talk about Christmas cheer!

I don't watch enough TV for any of them to annoy me. But I cringe the most at musical/variety type specials.

2. Of the holiday songs you have been subjected to this season, which
comes closest to making you want to strangle people?

It's not a bad song, but my husband has been trying to learn to sing and play it for 8 years now, and he never gets any better. Around the middle of October he starts playing it over and over again...chestnuts roasting on an open fire...so off key. He's generally a great musician, but he's either trying to annoy me, or he just has a serious block with this song.

They are silly. There are more than just 2 religions having holidays this season. Just put up secular decorations and be done with it.

else's holiday festivities? Discuss.

Only at Thanksgiving, and it was my own family. My uncle brought home his new girlfriend and we didn't get along. She said something about never wanting to go back to San Fransisco because she was afraid of getting AIDS from her food being touched by a "fag waiter." I slapped her across the face and left the house.

5. What's the scariest holiday decoration you've seen so far this
year?

A whole row of dancing Santas in someone's window.

6. Are you currently fighting/do you expect to fight with your family
this holiday season? Over what?

My father-in-law and I always fight about politics, but it's no problem. Everyone's used to it, and we love each other.

II. NICE

1. Name one holiday TV special that warms your heart and/or makes you
cry.

A Christmas Carol

2. What's your favorite piece of holiday music?

I'm not religious, but O Holy Night is a beautiful song.

3. What's your best holiday memory from childhood?

The year I got a pogo stick. I was awesome on that thing. I was very close to breaking a world record. I swear. Ask my mom!

4. What's your favorite thing about spending time with your family at
the holidays?

Naps and food.
