Chuck and Di were in Vancouver for Expo 86. I was at a youth banquet for them. I was seated at the table next to hers. She pigged out on cookies (fancy cookies.)

I think I remember that. There were all these rumors about an eating disorder.

We weren't sure if she was going to show up.

Charles actually teased her a bit about it during his speech. My chair was right by the podium, so she was looking in my direction during the speech. I gave her a sympathetic smile, which she seemed to appreciate.

The comments were shown on one version of her A&E Biography (to show the problems with Charles.) I could be seen in the background. My brief shot at fame.

I took her menu from the table, as a souvenir.

Somehow, the first 2 seemed just outside the norm enough to be true, and #3 was rather ordinary! This reminds me of the game show from when I was a kid called "To Tell The Truth". :-)

5. Odd. Two of those things are true of me also.

I think #3 is a lie. Lots of people can fly planes, lots of people have "had dinner" with Princess Diana (if you count some huge event she was at with a whole lot of others), but no moving violations is unusual.
