I want to go home. I have been at my folks for almost two weeks now. I am thinking that is really too long as everyone is starting to get on my nerves. I have also been sick- caught some hellacious respiratory/intestinal thing. I am either coughing my lungs out or running to the bathroom every five minutes. So not fun. This has been going on over a week now. Very little sleep because my sister and her family were also here. They have two kids (6 and 4) who are great kids but they are LOUD. No peace and quiet at all. I have taken to going into my room and shutting the door just to get away. Plus my mom got upset today while making dinner (over what I am not sure) and said something like "not that anyone is going to eat dinner" apparently referring to the fact that neither my sister or I were feeling well. So I choked down a little turkey and dressing but it was only a matter of time before I felt ill again. To top it all off, no one appears to have figured out that I need a ride to the airport on Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately for cost reasons I had to fly into an airport that is 90 minutes away as opposed to the local airport. So I know this is somewhat of an inconvenience but still I would take time off to get them to the airport if they were visiting me. Anyway I guess my sister is not working until 2 pm so I will get to the airport but I will be about 5 hours early for my flight. A pain but not that big a deal since I really cannot wait to leave. Maybe I should go Monday night and stay in a hotel there (at least I would have peace and quiet and a good night's rest!) So I am glad Christmas is over. I am thinking about not visiting my folks next year. Maybe I will take a vacation just for me somewhere.

1. Good idea for next year, I say. |
|
And please feel better.
We were lucky (hubby, 8-year-old, and I). We met the in-laws in Lauglin, Nevada Dec. 11-13th. Saw my sister and my niece one week ago. Done.
Nice quiet Christmas today. You'll get smart and take care of yourself next year.
See 'em every other year.

2. Grab yourself a book for the wait at the airport |

and save your dough that you would have spent on a hotel room.
Sorry things didn't go well at your folks house. They were probably happy to see you, though. Take care of that cold and here's to a happy new year.
