I hate loath and despise the corporate media
Edited on Fri Sep-26-03 05:39 PM by ikojo
The lead story on CBS news tonight is about the rising poverty rate in the US. They do a report on the number of people in poverty but of course they MUST go to the right-wing for an "expert" who says the stats must be taken in context. This overpaid and underworked think tank employee says the poverty rates are not as bad as reported.

Well fat cat try telling that to the woman with four kids that they interviewed. She works for 32 hours a week as a cashier and does not make enough money to make ends meet.

ABC news did a report on the poverty news released today and like good corporate robots they, too, went to the Heritage Foundation and the conservative said that there is always an increase in poverty during a recession...WTF?! I thought the recession ended in 2001? or at least that is what the corporate media has been reporting for some time.
