Conjecture about "Chronicles of Riddick"

So I saw Chronicles of Riddick the other night, after watching Pitch Black again to refresh my memory (it'd been a while).

I have some insane conjecture to make.

I think the Necromongers represent the US/Christian fundies.

Think about it --- the oppressed innocent people are Muslims.

Discuss.

Also, we watched The Manchurian Candidate. Tell me Manchurian Global isn't Halliburton. :D

3. random factoid about this movie, series

I did a press junket for Pitch Black and met Vin Diesel before he became a star. It was done at the Hard Rock Cafe in NYC and we got free food and got to talk with the cast (including Mr. Diesel) - he was very very nice. I hope he's still a nice guy even after he became famous.
