An 18-year-old man was ordered to spend 20 days in jail for his part in removing the lug nuts from his teacher's Jeep, causing the wheels to fall off.
Nicholas M. Malovec, of Hazelhurst, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor damaging property and trespassing Tuesday in Oneida County Court.
A criminal complaint said Malovec's former English teacher at Tomahawk High School, Celina Liebnitz, started to drive away from her home on May 27 with her two young children when the wheels fell off her Jeep.
Malovec was one of four former students charged in the crime. Charges are pending in two of the other cases. Christopher M. Kathamegos, 18, of Tomahawk, was sentenced this month to one year of probation and 10 days in jail.
