I don't know. The music seems to be speaking to me a lot more. It is like they are spiritual in a Christian way without being evangelical and sanctimonious. FYI, they did not recieve royalties for the iPod commercial that featured "Vertigo" on it. And I still thing Atomic Bomb is a great record. Maybe not as good as "The Joshua Tree" but what is as good? Not much. I am realizing that ne of their more recent songs "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of" is something that I can really relate to. Lyrically. It is an interesting thing I must say.

I know many don't like their recent stuff, but I still have nothing against them.

2. I don't know why their recent stuff is being so lambasted. |

If anything I think they have been the most true to what they are. I think "All That You Can't Leave Behind" and "How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" are great records. They are not "The Joshua Tree" or "Actung Baby" but that does not mean that they are not great records.
