She said something to the effect that she doesn't pay any attention to any of the news out of Iraq anymore b/c it's all the same and depressing. I said that apathy among most Americans is pretty much the problem. Then she said that protests just aren't in and they wouldn't do any good anyway. :mad: This happened over IM so I couldn't quite express to her how stupid of a comment that was. I'm sure she's back in her happy world pretending that Iraq isn't happening.

'It' being most everything. Imagine the world we would live in if everyone had said "nah, protesting won't do anything" sigh.
