Poll question: Will the Braves choke now or later in the playoffs? |
|
It's that time of the year again. Time for a certain team to play under their potential. You guessed it's time for the Atlanta Braves to choke. It's seems like every year that the Braves are in the playoffs thay've got the best pitching rotation ever and sometimes the best record in baseball. Every time they go to the playoffs they lose to someone they should destroy. Is it time for the Cubs to destroy the Braves on their way to a World Series victory? Maybe so , what do you think

2. Hopefully, they're going down soon |

Atlanta is one of those teams like the Yankees - they have so much money there shouldn't be a fair competition. Yet they lose, time and time again :)

4. Cincinnati has nearly the entire triple-A team in the majors |
|
Hell, they've even got the minor league manager since Bob Boone got canned. I guess it's been a bad year for injuries.

5. I would hate to see the Braves win |
|
Seeing them win anything in the postseason is just boring and repetitive.

When I was in school the school dickhead was a Braves fan. A fan to such an extent that we thought Greg Maddux was going to have to get a restraining order just to be safe. All we'd hearfrom him was how good the Braves are and every time they'd lose I'd have a ball at school, espeacially if it was to the Reds. We'd have extra fun if they lost in the playoffs to someone they should beat.

and I'm sick and tired of the Braves winning the NL East every year. Of course, I have to admit to being envious since my team has won one stinking World Series in its entire history.

12. No, they just sucked all that time |
|
It's different when the Reds lose because they don't have shit. When the Braves lose it's different because they're the most talented and paid team in the league. It always cracks me up because they say "good pitching beats good hitting", ok then tell me why the Braves only have one world series title to their name and that one happened after the strike when no one was watching baseball.

13. I think it'll be different this year. |
|
The Cubs have a stronger team this year than they did in 1998, when they won the Wild Card. They've got all-around strong pitching so they won't have to put a weak pitcher up against the Braves (like they did in the first postseason 1998 game).
I think it will be a squeaker. But I think the Cubs will take it. They're hungry.

And I hope they lose three games straight to the Cubs. Of course, I'm biased.
On edit: Georgia tossed Max Cleland out to put that miserable chickenhawk Saxby Chambliss in office. I say it's payback time. The Atlanta Braves deserve to lose.
