Does anyone know if there is postal service today?
i'm waiting for some important stuff, and it's after 3pm and NO MAIL.

are the post offices closed on New Year's Eve?

4. Rural Illinois got mail, and the P.O. was open a bit ago.
I had to mail a book shipment off, and they were open then(1:00 p.m., CST).

5. When your regular postal carrier goes on vacation
They don't bring in a temp...Another carrier has to do that route after they finish their own. I learned that when my mail didn't get to me until 7 PM and I called to bitch. (The company I worked for mailed checks out, and I was waiting on my damn paycheck!)
