Smileys. Where do I get 'em? How do I use 'em?

My posts are brilliant (?) but starting this New Year, I've decided they need that extra zip that only the occasional emoticon can add.

Where do I get 'em, and how do I use 'em? Is there some secret stash of them around here somewhere? I've tried hunting down those that I've seen posted, and they all point here

somehow, but when I try to get into that url, I get an "internal error" message. I'm a Mac and Netscape user. Does that mean I'm screwed? Help!

post there is a smiley lookup table, cut and paste the code corresponding to the emote you wish to present, into your message

and voila

look at the 2nd box, it has a link for "Smilies lookup table"

click on it and choose your smilies.

3. When you reply (or post) don't you see "Message Options"

above your subject line?


I click on the "Smilies lookup table" for the standard DU choices

But smilies have to be "enabled" in your setup.
