So I'm driving through LA last Thursday with my teenage son, and being a couple of out-of-towners we're flipping through the radio, trying to find a good radio station.
My son stumbles on "Another Girl, Another Planet" by the Only Ones and lifts his finger from the radio for a few seconds to enjoy. He turns to me and says...."Who is this? It's pretty cool." Next comes "Babylon's Burning" by the Ruts and then wonder of wonder....
"Town Without Pity" by Gene Pitney.
I'm in heaven. It's the best radio station I've ever heard. Then I find out, it's hosted by none other than Steve Jones. You know, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols.
Anybody else listen to "Jonesy's Jukebox" on 103.1? You people in LA are really lucky to have radio program of that quality. It's on every weekday from Noon until 2 I believe. If it's on satellite, it's enough reason to dole out the cash necessary.
