grandfather was one at Pitt?
To tell the truth, I don't think so because all I know about my grandfather says he wasn't like Bush, and didn't act like he was a tough guy, he was just a regular guy.

But I think part of the reason is his macho man persona and a male cheerleader is kind of not so macho man. My own grandfather as I was saying was a male cheerleader too in the 30's.

He is such a man I would never like to meet because I have not one thing in common with him. I question any integrity or intelligence he has supposedly had, because to me he has not exhibited either.

I had a camp conselor who went to that school. My dad's parents are from Pittsburgh, and my great grandfather was a friend of baseball legend Honus Wagner. Thanks for those pictures, interesting.

25. Interesting indeed, especially the Bill Mazeroski home run plaque

dated October 13, 1960. Never forget that game. I thought the Yankees had won for sure. I went into a state of depression after the Yankees went a head in the ninth. I had bet more money than any sane person would have and was bummed out to the point I didn't even want to watch the bottom of the ninth. I walk into the kitchen and was listening to the game......and then when Mazeroski came up to bat, not a home run hitter and not a power hitter, I figured it was all but over....then "the home run!!!!

Thanks for the photos, brought back memories of he 60's to this 72 year old hippy.

10. Yeah, I was a cheerleader in high school and I'm male

and it has pissed me off when I see people making fun of GW for being a cheerleader, but when you read about the cheerleading that GW did, it doesn't piss me off as much. From what I've seen, he was a joke cheerleader. He didn't do stunts, lead the crowd, etc. It seems like he dressed up in drag, did stupid things to make the crowd laugh and had little to do with school spirit. I busted my ass stunting and running the flag whenever my team scored a touchdown or did something to turn the tide of the game. I did more than some of the football players did during the game. I say it's okay to laugh at GW for being a cheerleader as long as you realize what kind of cheerleader he was and you aren't laughing at all male cheerleaders.

16. the phrase "bring it on!" and his "tough on terror" stance justifies it...

but I'm kind of fucked in the head. anytime I hear anyone from his adminstration say something to the effect of "bring it on" makes me think of those cheerleading movies.

and besides, as anyone who's spent a few years actually where that phrase would be used (ie, lower-income areas, like where I went to high school) would know that it's know just "bring it," usually said with one hand held out in front of your chest, palm facing toward you. fake lunging is also effective, but optional.

24. Cheerleading was the pinnacle of Shrub's career...

He got into schools, businesses, TANG & political offices because of family influence. But he may have made it to the cheerleading squad on his own; how pathetic! And he tried to repeat that "success" on the smoking ruins of the World Trade Center.

I'll bet your grandfather had some other accomplishments in life.

And, yes, modern cheerleading would be far beyond Shrubbie's capabilities!
