Pork...red or white meat?

I know there was the ad campaign that says 'The other white meat'...but is pork really a white meat or am I being lied to?

8. It's not red meat...

...if you've ever fried it up, you've probably noticed it creates a LOT less drippings than the corresponding cuts of beef (bacon excluded, of course--but bacon isn't really meat, anyway, it's fat).

Once cooked, it also has a different color from beef. If you only fry it in a pan, pork actually even has a similar color to cooked chicken.
