1) Failing to realize that people could have typed "Democratic political website" into Google and been under the impression that the first entry which appears, "Democratic Underground", was a place where Democrats could have an intelligent conversation with open-minded Democratic-oriented voters. 2) Thinking that anyone having an opinion different from your own is a FREEPER. 3) Believing that driving people away from DU is a good thing (related symptom: not realizing that some otherwise intelligent, nice people, after posting 20 or 30 times and receiving vicious replies, flee in horror). 4) Failing to realize that people who have high post counts keep posting DESPITE YOU because there are so many people on DU who post intelligent, thought-provoking comments. 5) Failing to realize that this site could be a really wonderful tool for helping to beat Bush and his ilk who, strangely, enough, said FREEPERphobes claim to hate. 6) Failing to realize that posting foul language and being generally rude and closed-minded causes extra work for unpaid volunteers moderating the site. 7) Thinking that FREEPERS are working in tandem (perhaps all sitting next to each other on laptops in Karl's basement) just to make it look like one or more persons agree with a FREEPER post.
BONUS SYMPTOM: You have FREEPERphobia if you think this post is yet another evil attempt by a FREEPER to destroy democracy.
