Closest beach is Daytona...


When I was in junior college in the late 70's I practically lived on that beach...


Those were the days... Sun, beer, a little weed, and women....

2. central florida has mild winters

though it has been about ten degrees warmer...


normal december low and high is 50 and 70...

we are getting 60 and 80...

3. Our weather has just been confusing

Less than two weeks ago we were in an ice storm buried in snow, and now it's 60 degrees outside.

except for christmas when it the weather just sucked....

Couple that with an abscessed tooth and my Christmas was destroyed...

And my girlfriend from L A was here....


I planned that Christmas big time...

5. We have good friends that live on Daytona beach.

It is freakin hot down there! I can't take it, only in the fall/winter/spring. I guess this is a good time to go! ;)

7. We drove down there in August.

Actually, we got in town abou 7 hours after the hurricane hit. They were on vacation in the Dominican for another 3 days, and we got there with no electricity, no water. It was awful! hehehe
That also meant no air conditioning, and as a spoiled Northerner, I thought I would die right then and there. Talk about being miserable!
And you are even farther south! :scared:

9. Wow, you are lucky!

That was terrible, especially since it was their house and they weren't there! The freezer melted allover the kitchen, waster backing up, it was awful! I guess it will be a funny story to tell the grandkids!
