I've been here a year and haven't seen ONE Sarah Michelle Gellar thread.

I thought that it might have been because she married Freddie Prinze Jr. (second in audacity only to the Courtney Cox - David Arquette pairing, but love is blind...I guess).



I thought that it might have been because of the bitchy way she breezed through her Rolling Stone interview a few years ago, at the peak of her Buffy-dom. When asked about the legion of Rolling Stone readers carrying a torch for the young starlet, she replied "If you know any Wall Street investment bankers, give them my number." OUCH! Sarah's a MATERIAL GIRL???

Then I Googled her, and found that she had once been selected "Republican Babe of the Week" on the "Jersey GOP Web Site."

But it's not exactly like she's Ann Coulter...is it? Err...maybe I didn't select the best DVD capture to illustrate that point...

IMHO, but I go back all the way to her "Kendall" days on All My Children. She has four facial expressions and a little more in the way of vocal expressions. Again JMHO.

7. I go back even before the Kendall days....

She was on a little soap opera called "Swan's Crossing" years ago. It was aimed at teenagers, and I think it was on Saturdays. I saw it a few times, and then when SMG came on the scene on All My Children, I recognized her.

I liked her as Kendall. She did whiny and bitchy quite well.

who was a Repub. I saw some thing with them on a red carpet pre-election, and he gave the "Four More Years!" thing. She just sort of rolled her eyes and smiled.

She's seemed sort of apolitical when I've seen her on Letterman, etc.

19. If you wanna try it, Netflix it, and start with Season 1.

Because it's really a very layered show that builds a lot on previous episodes. If you watch on reruns, you'll more than likely catch an episode that's completely confusing -- simply because you haven't got the surrounding context.

And then you'll be hooked. Damn show is like popcorn, you can't watch just one episode. :D

because cartoons are for children".

Buffy was actually one of the best-written shows on TV. Just because you didn't get it doesn't mean it was one of the 'dumbest fucking shows since Hee Haw'.

A lot of the more intelligent TV critics (David Bianculli, Matt Raucsh, many others) appreciated it and constantly rated it among the best things on TV, up there with things like China Beach, Homicide, etc.

I'll admit the first time I watched was for the jiggle factor. But the show was really smart. Not at all what I expected.

Folks at the bar would make fun of me for leaving to watch it, but I was really hooked.
