1. Actually, Auburn won last night.
I know it's not part of the reality based community, but I believe Auburn is the National Champion!

2. Eh. Both of 'em suck.
I'm hoping it'll wind up in a 14 quarter tie before they call it quits.

3. I can't stand USC....
And I live in L.A. I am hoping that a)Oklahoma kicks their asses OR b) If USC wins, Auburn stakes a phony claim to half the national championship like USC did last year, thus minimizing USC's win.

Memo to Trojans - LOUISIANA STATE won the national championship last year. Not YOU!

4. You are probably jealous of its great location
and all those hard working students slaving away at perhaps a better chance in life for themselves.

:bounce:

Two + years ago I was in LA and went down to have a run around the Coliseum......what a sh*thole and I didn't get to see even ONE blonde co-ed.

If the Sooners were in the NFC, they'd be in the playoffs this year.

I'll be pulling for OU, but only because I'm an alumnus, a current student, and a huge fan.

I think OU will win, but it could be a great game ... two great QBs, two great running backs, two great defenses, two great coaches, etc.

12. Oklahoma is one of those teams
I love to see lose. I would hate to see what would happen if they played Notre Dames schedule year in and year out.

14. OU plays a lot weak teams as does Texas.
I'll root for any blue state team over a red state team any day.

USC 38 - OU 10

18. The state may be blue, but the school has a pretty conservative reputation
The University of Oklahoma, on the other hand, is in the reddest of red states, but is a bastion of ... well, not quite liberalism ... but relative to the state, the campus is pretty blue.

So I'll be cheering for a sorta liberal oasis in a desert of red against a bright red blemish in blue california. }(

16. OU's schedule strength is usually comparable to ND
and is often in the top 10 or 20 in the nation. They can't help their conference opponents, but their out of conference schedule usually includes a marquee matchup (vs. Oregon this year, though Oregon wound up with a subpar season), a strong mid-major team (Bowling Green) and some more-or-less cannon fodder (Houston). This year there schedule strength is probably a little lower than Notre Dame's, but in past years it has been comparable.

17. Hot damn. I get to watch the game tonight.
The boss said I wasn't needed today.

Now who should I root for? I usually root for the underdog when I'm watching a game between teams that I don't follow closely. So who's the underdog?

26. The spread started at USC by three
but has been closing considerably in the last week. Today they printed a 1.5 point spread in the local paper, but I heard on the radio earlier this afternoon that the spread was now even.

20. I can't stand Oklahoma
Cause they seem to be one of those teams that get the royal treatment from the pollsters, year in and year out. So even though I'm not much of a Pac Ten fan, I'm going with the Trojans.

But just wait until next year.

31. RE: "Go Pac-10"
I'ts a damn shame that Cal had injured receivers AND went into the tank against Texas. They could have slammed the door on the dumbass Shit-talkers that are always dissing the Pac-10.

I was really surprised that ASU came through. :headbang:
The Beav's own the Irish. :spank:
UCLA screwed the pooch as expected. :dunce:
Cal..... got ownt. :wtf:
SC bringing the hammer down at the half.

I honestly don't think Oklahoma is as bad as they have played tonight, but USC is pretty clearly the best team in the land.

Even after this absolute ASS kicking, SC still won't get the respect they deserve. They are the best, they were the best last year, and you can make the argument that they were the best in 2002. So EAT IT!!
