1. the sting
by far the hugest chasm between 1st and 2nd.

the sting was one of the greatest alltime movies, the sequel (maybe you didn't even know there was one) sucked big time.

it starred jackie gleason and mac davis -- one hell of a drop from paul newman and robert redford -- and went downhill from there.

2. Return of the Living Dead II
Edited on Sun Sep-28-03 09:16 PM by MercutioATC
It's a "Night of the Living Dead" spoof. I saw "Return of the Living Dead" years ago. I saw "Return of the Living Dead II" in its entirety last night.

Imagine if somebody made a movie and then somebody else said "Yeah, that was a really bad movie but I want you to pretend that you never made the first movie, use most of the same actors (who, by the way, died in the first movie) and make an even WORSE movie."

That's "Return of the Living Dead II". Don't get me wrong, it was wonderfully painful to watch. I've never seen a "sequel" done quite this way. REALLY bad movie...

As a disclaimer, a friend and I used to try to se the worst movies we could find. Anybody remember "Tuff Turf"?

4. I liked First Blood
Rambo was picked on by a redneck sheriff and won. It went down hill from there.

7. Any horror movie
Once it gets past part 2 or 3, it just gets unbelievably silly with the main character coming back from the sure-death of the previous film.

Halloween, I'm looking at you.

Also, any of the direct-to-video, cash-grabbing sequels that Disney makes of its classic films. Cinderella II? Screw you, greedy bastards.
