I have been out working in the yard in shorts and a t-shirt. Earlier in the afternoon, the dogs and I hiked down to Rock Creek falls. They cooled off in the gin-clear pools below the falls. I threw sticks into the worn stone sluices for Nick-Nick to chase and fetch. I think I'll cook out tonight. Winter, where is thy sting?

The warm weather has caused some of my plants to think it's spring, so if some harsh weather follows next week, that's bad news for them.

2. Winter is here, in the Midwest |
|
Ice storm yesterday and more today. Snow tonight all the way until Thursday, or so the forcasters are saying. Screw this. Oh well, we Midwesterners may bitch about the weather but we are tough and will get through this too.

The weather's been really whacky lately. One day it'll be in the upper 50's, and the next it'll be in the 20's. :wtf:
