2. I'm really not all that pissed
Had a great time in North Carolina.

Made it home without a hitch.

The Sox are in the playoffs.

I am leaving for Amsterdam, London, Oxford, Paris and Toulouse in a few days.

I have a Pabst Blue Ribbon sitting next to me.

I have several more in the fridge.

Sorry.

I didn't know they still made PBR, but apparently they do. And there are worse beers, if I remember right. It's been a long time since someone PRR'd me, ASAP.

when we have an opportunity to cluster---- the administration with a large scandal, if we'd all call our reps and the media.

6. anti-evolutionists
They're trying to get the state school board to give creedance to Intelligent Design and make sure that the problems of evolution are discussed in class. Now, I have no problem with discussing the problems with evolutionary biology in a biology class. I do however have a problem with I.D. being taught in a biology class, because it is not pure science, but science and a lot of philosophy. If the scientific community as a whole thought I.D. was worth teaching, or that it was indeed science, I would be fine with that. But using politics to try to inject some theory that is not accepted by the vast majority is just not right.

And before anyone attacks me for attacking I.D., I would like to add that I.D. in Montgomery County, TX, is the equivalent of creationism. I heard the group that wants I.D. taught in schools speak. It is creationism. I don't discount I.D., and I find the arguments compelling, but the B.S. the Republican Leadership Council is trying to force through the school board is Biblical hoo-ha.

7. I'm so pissed about everything in life
Edited on Sun Sep-28-03 10:02 PM by leftist_rebel1569
I'm so pissed about school. I don't want to go back to that repuke-infested hell-hole which doubles as a high school. I'm sick of dealing with intolerant, anti-social assholes day in and day out. I'm sick of all of my teachers' cynicism towards everything, including their students.

I'm pissed about being lonely. I'm pissed that people keep telling me "oh, wait til ____ when girls will notice you". I don't care about then as much as now. I'm sick of rejection in general, basically. What's so f#^@&%g wrong with me that I have to constantly keep getting rejected? Oh, and i'm pissed about people telling me "you're trying too hard to get a girlfriend". I get crushes when they come, ok? It's not like i'm gonna go say "oh, my life sucks, i'm gonna develop a thing for the girl that sits next to me in sculpture class." After that, I either forget about it which ABSOLUTELY sucks, or try my luck and ask her out. Hmmm...?

I'm sick of being 15. I'm sick of society labeling 16 as the "magic number" for basically getting even a crap-part time job at some fast food joint in this absolutely shitty economy. I'm sick of not being able to get a job because "they don't hire at 15". As a result, I HAVE NO MONEY FOR ANYTHING. I know, there's lots of jobless people at DU, but it's still frustrating. I'm sick of not having my driver's license, either...i'm sick of having to go everywhere with my parents.

GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:nuke::grr::mad::nuke::grr::mad::nuke::grr::mad::nuke::grr::mad::nuke::grr::mad::nuke::grr::mad:

oooooh....I feel a lot better now!

edit: oh, on a lighter note...my fantasy football team is about to lose by an incredibly large amount, thanks to the fact my friend's got BOTH Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison...

8. Fifteen is a shitty fucking age
God did life suck when I was fifteen. I had just moved back to the same shithole in Texas I had escaped from and had to go to high school with all of these fucking inbred wealthy neanderthal fuckfaces. I was invisible. I was dreadfully alone. I hated everything.

Life gets better though. Well, before it gets worse, anyway.

About girls: Don't try. Seriously. I didn't show any interest in girls at all through high school. No flirting. No crushes. Nothing. I didn't fucking care. Or at least I acted that way. Most girls just assumed I was gay, which I was and am not. I just don't fucking care about that whole mating ritual b.s. that teenagers and adults do. Eventually, though, a girl got a crush on me. I thought I was going to have to turn her down, but hey, I chose not to. It turned out for the best.

But then she broke my heart. So I guess this wasn't very uplifting.

Anyway, my point was this: BE YOURSELF. You're obviously a cool person (hell you're a liberal! That's the ideology of cool people). Just at like you don't fucking care either way and I guarantee one day some girl is going to fall for you. Swear it! It's all a matter of not trying so hard.

Eliminate rejection by avoiding the situation.

Besides, girls at that age are silly and immature. Just as most boys are. High school is an all around shitty time for mature kids.

Hang in there kid. Don't let the world crucify you. Ditch the cross and go have a good time.

12. That's good advice.
It's hard being a teenager. I certainly wouldn't want to do it again, but it does get better. Hang in there. This is probably going to be the most frustrating time of your life. You feel like you can't do anything and that life is holding you back. Try to have fun. I know it's hard when you are mature and all the other people around you aren't. Think about it this way-to some people in your school, these ARE the best days of their lives. You have so much more to look forward to. I went to a school in a rural town with 200 total students. Everyone around me was a dick. But I survived and I know you will too. I hope this helps, but I know it's hard to care about what others have to say when you are hurting inside. I'll be sending you positive thoughts.

13. 15 sucked. But 46 ain't no bed of roses, either....
Whe you're 15, the females are just discovering that the males want in their pants (ayt least that's how it worked when *I* was 15)and have their heads on funny. the guys are thinking with their hormones. And you gotta put up with your folks (they're not exactly thrilled over the arrangemnet, either)

Not pretty.

When you're 46, the females are all battle-scarred and goosey from being ditched or ditching, and the guys are in a sweat because They can't see anything but a Future of Viagra. and then there's the kids, who just might be 15...

Combine that with the fact that as I sit here typing this, my right ankle, wrist, fingers, elbow, shoulder, and left hand are stiff and painful, I'd like a snack, but my diabetes won't allow it, and I gotta get up and go to work in about 7 hours, after a totally UN-satisfying weekend listening to my girlfriend bitch about work, and wearing myself out doing the fall "put-aways", with no time for a bicycle ride, and with winds at 20 gusting to 30 giving a windchill in the 40's, I wasn't in the mood for that anyway...

But don't let me scare you off or anything...it's GREAT being old and decrepit!

16. thanks man
good advice, it seems like. And yeah, at this point i've pretty much given up on girls (given up = not trying for a while), so that problem is out of the way. And, most of the other stuff I wrote because i'm just really pissed off tonight. But, i feel a lot better now :)

10. I'm not really all that pissed.
I've got a good crop of students this term.

After a summer filled with internal office politics, my boss gushed praises for me the other day and told me my job was bullet-proof. More bullet-proof than his was.

I got some very positive feedback from complete strangers today with regard to my short skirt.

I've had an excellent dinner and I'm lingering over a glass of wine.

:hi:
