Just finished Lord Of the Rings, Return of the King on DVD. That was long!

I saw it in the theaters and I forgot how long it was.

1. 3.5 hours

for the regular version, almost 4.75 for the Special Edition extended version. (not counting the extras)

3. I got the extended edition of the first and third ones for Christmas.

Don't have the second one. I am hoping that the extended Two Towers will still be around in a few months.

2. My wife & I just watched all 3, extended edition.

Not on the same day, but in the same week. Loved all 3.

I loved the new scenes in ROTK.

6. I watched the whole threesome yesterday...whew!

twelve hours inside Middle Earth.

Now I can put those DVDs away for a while.

8. Yes. I first read then in 1972.

They are one of the few books that I go back and reread from time to time.
