I was blissfully unaware of Ashlee Simpson until the SNL debacle now I know who she is.

Yes it was noticeable even though ABC tried to mute it and cut away. The American Idol girl was having trouble with her mic and I thought "Uh oh here we go again" but she really was singing.

The whole Ashlee production was funny in that I realized what the whole marketing scheme is for her. I wonder if it hit anyone else that basically she is the Osborne girl Spice girl role personna and that she is basically being shoved down their throats.
