I'm a little worried about my fighting fish Maxwell. He only comes out of his cove to eat. How can you be sure if your pet fish is properly entertained?

3. I think I fried his brain stem last year. |
|
I made his water a bit too warm, and he started swimming upside-down. I dropped some ice cubes in his water, and he's been good as new ever since

2. My betta is the same way. |

You have to think about how they live in their natural habitat - supposedly they live in little isolated puddles waiting for bugs & worms to drop in. I think a solitary, uneventful existence is par for the course for them!

4. Drop another Betta in his bowl? |
|
I kid!!!!!
BUT, one of the cool things I've seen was a double betta bowl that had two separate tanks attached so they could see but not attack each other. It was actually kind of neat and kept them both active.

I need feedback from my pets. Dogs and cats let you know how they're feeling.
