He's featured on the 2-DVD "Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival" set. On the right, Steve Cropper on guitar (fellow MG Donald "Duck" Dunn was on bass).
Walsh intros the song by saying "If I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life singing this song, I would have written a better one...but that's OK."
Song structure is identical to the original but the solos stretch out a bit. As far as the vocals are concerned, he hits the same notes he did when the song was "new," 30 years ago. Unbelievable. Joe's lived the party life...and it shows...but when he's on the job, he's still got it.
The DVD also features Robert Cray, Hubert Sumlin, Jimmy Vaughan, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, James Taylor, Jerry Douglas, Vince Gill, J.J. Cale, Doyle Bramhall II, Carlos Santana, John McLaughlin, Jonny Lang, David Hidalgo, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, and ZZ Top...in addition to Clapton. The concert was filmed June 4, 2004.
